Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas
I was served in the state of kansas with a temporary restraining order for stalking and never intend to see this person again. Do I have to appear at the hearing if I don't want to go?

If you don't go, and the Petitioner does, the temporary order will become more permanent. Unless you are sure that it would not infringe upon your life, it is always a better choice to attend, and tell the Judge that you have no intention of seeing them again. Otherwise, thee restraining order might be more broad than you imagined. You could be arrested for accidentally being at the same restaurant, sporting event business as the Petitioner. This is a general response based upon your general question. As you provided no facts, it should not be relied upon as advice to default on a notice to appear in any particular fact situation
Good luck
