Signing over parental rights

I have been paying child support for a few years and was wondering if I signed over my parental rights, would that in turn drop the child support payments?

Re: Signing over parental rights

Sounds like a continuing vendetta against ex-spouse. . .child support is exactly what it purports to be: support for your child. The court will not permit a child to be bastardized short of good reason. Are you a father? If you owe past child support, the court will not permit a relinquishment of your parental rights until the obligation is paid in full. . . and then, the question is why are you relinquishing. ..hope you're thinking of your child.
