Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

I am a single mother that has fallen into some rough times. I have my 2 children staying at my moms house until i get back on my feet and stable, but i dont live there due to past issues. My child had a medical issue today at school. How do i give my mom legal permission to sign medical papers if i am not available for insurance purposes but not granting parental custody?

You might be able to execute a limited power of attorney appointment. You might also add your mother as an authorizing authority with your health insurance provider.
