Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

How can I get sole custody of my kids if they live with their grandparents? Their father has residential custody, and we have joint custody. Their father does not live with them full time and their grandmother has them. What can I do to get sole custody of them so they are with a parent and not their grandparents?

You will have to show achange of circumstnaces for the child, in order to get the court to reverse physical custody. Merely living with a grqanbdparnet may not be enough. Without knowing why nthe court nchose to give the4father residential custody, nbor the other facts of your case, I suggest you consult with the attorney that represnted you in that matter. If you wre Pro Se (without counsel) I suggest you consult ndirectly with a family law attorney in your area. Many oiffer a free or low cost initial consultation. Hopefully, they will be able to give you advice based upon the specific facts of your situation.

Good luck
