You child's father can sign away his rights, but nto his obligation to provide support. Why hav eyou nto sought support? It is for the child. If you insist, have the man complete leterr claiming that although he knows that he has a right to particiapte in life choices regarding the child,a nd a right to sustody, he waives thos rights and accepts teh decision that the mother makes reagrding the child. If he has it notorized, it can help you prevent him form trying to undo what you choose to do for the chidl in the future. But, it doe snto relieve him of the obligation to provide support. Probably only an adoption byu another man will achieve that, unless the state terminates the father's parental rights and obligations. why do you want this man to sign away his rights?
