Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

I am a step-mother to two small childeren and my huband gained custody of them due to the fact that she had left and gone on a drug bing. Is there anyway possible we could take her rights away by proofing she is unfit???

If you file to adopt the kids, you might be able to have the mother's rights terminated. It is unlikely that this will occur, as courts are hesitant to sever parental ties. They will, however, curtail or intervene in visitation issues when there is a drug exposure issue.
