Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

no support from husband

My husband is stationed in Kansas but is now in Iraq,And before he left I moved out of housing because we had some issues.We are still married and he hasnt sent any money to help support me or his child,its been more then 9 mths,he makes up alot of excuses why he cant.I know he gets extra pay for us.What can I do so ensure he sends us support?

I have read what the other attorney wrote, and he is correct. The US Army is not happy when its soldiers leave their wife and children without money for rent or food. very VERY unhappy.

You dont say how long you have lived in New Jersey. If you have been here for long enough, then you may be able to take action here in New Jersey. Beats the heck out of driving across the country every time you need to go to Court.

I am not entirely certain about how the military works but I believe that

you and your child are entitled to an alotment each month You should contact

the unit that he is assigned to. You may have to file a nonsupport complaint where you live in order for the military to be authorized to give you part of his pay.
