Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

unwed, non-biological father inquires about finacial obligations and rights.

I began dating a woman last year who was pregnant with another man's child. That child is now a year old and her mother and I are finding out that we aren't as compatible as we once thought. We are not married, but we do own a house, a car, and have a joint checking acount together. I was wondering what finacial obligations I am bound too and how things would/should be divided between us?

Also the child's biological father has straighened up and decided that he would like to see his ''daughter'' as well. Do I have any legal rights to see my daughter?

Thanks.

I suggest that you have taken quite enough 'short-cuts' in planning your life. . .retain legal counsel to assist you in sorting through this matter. . .I suspect you will save yourself a bundle and have some court orders rather than uninforceable agreements if you don't try to handle this yourself. NOT A PLACE IN YOUR LIFE TO CUT MORE CORNERS OR TO ECONOMIZE! YOU HAVE SOME COMPLICATED ISSUES HERE.
