Legal Question in Family Law in Kansas

My wife filed a false domestic violence case and now I'm out in bind awaiting trial. With a no contact order till the court date. But I found out from a friend that feeling remorseful, she filed something to have the DA drop charges. I wanted to know if there is such a thing and what are the chances of having the charges dropped. I have no priors at all, clean driving record, and currently going to school and within part time. We have a sin together who is under 1 year.

Without knowing the factual allegations. It is nearly impossible to predict the outcome of a case. If your wife admits that she lied IR mislead the authorities, it would help your case. I'm not sure what she filed. It might be a motion to withdraw the temporary protective order. You need to consult directly with a defense attorney in your area. Many offer a free or low cost initial consultation. Gather what documents you can, and go see one very soon.
