Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Kansas

amending

i was arrested for domestic violence,first offence..was given court appointed attorney, he talkes with county attorney and it was agreed to amend charge to *DISORDERLY CONDUCT* i was told that this charge typically carries a fine of $200.00. that was all. so i agrred to accept this offer.once in court and agreed upon this.. I then was given 45 day jail sentence/suspended,and was given $100.00 fine.

$300.00 attorney's fee's. and a 1 years probation..

unsupervised, but if i break law in any way shape or form .

i would be in violation and would then have to do 45 days in jail..

I have no priors and i feel that i was unjustibly sentenced

and cohoarst into lesser charge with the understanding that a fine was all i would be given. nothing more. Is this a customary sentence for this charge?

The sentence is dependent upon the specific facts of the situation. However, Disorderly Conduct in Kansas is a Class C Misdemeanor - which can result in a fine of up to $500 and/or up to one month in jail. I would recommend discussing the situation with your attorney. Best of luck.
