Collecting on a past due debt
I gave a personaly loan to a friend with the verbal understanding that it was to be paid back in two weeks. It has now been two and a half months and they now refuse any and all contact. I wish to know my legal options to collect the money owed.

Call the court clerk's office in the county wehre your friend lives. Fiel asmall claims action (if it was a small loan) The clerks can tell you where and how to file the forms to get your case started.
