Kansas law controsl Kansas companies and Oklahome Oklanhome ones. Kansas law does not condone nor prohibit a Kansas individual from doing business in another state. A sole proprietorship is basically the individual. The Oklanhom company may be an oklahome corproation. In order to conduct business form a fixed location in Kansas, they are to register with the Secreatary of State. Few do though. Otherwise, no company that ships goods to consumers (like nearly all stores on the internet) could sell to Kansas residents. If you want to know if you can operate your business in another state, you need to check the laws of that other state.
