Legal Question in Immigration Law in Kansas

I have been out of status for 4 months. I am eligible for reinstatement, however, my husband could not get visa to USA. I am planning to go Australia or Canada for my master program. I have never violated any laws till 61/2 yrs. Does it affect my visa to Australia or Canada? Also, my advisor had mention on my sevis that he authorized early withdrawal because i am going home and coming back with a different program in a different school.

Unfortunately, I can only advise you on U.S. immigration law, so I would suggest that you call the Australian & Canadian Consulates & pose your question to them. However, I do not see why overstaying in the U.S. would affect entry into another country, or the issue of a visa issuance for another country.

Also, remember that accrual of 181-264 days of illegal presence in the U.S. will trigger a bar to re-entry for 3 yrs once you depart!
