Legal Question in Immigration Law in Kansas
Hello, I was wondering if you were not born in the United States, but you came at a very young age and were given a social security number when you first entered school is that social security number valid at all outside of school?

Social security cards, are one the documents that help show an individual is authorized to work in the United States. However, there are some social security cards that have written on them "not valid for employment" these cards were issued solely to allow people to pay taxes, open a bank account etc.
You should look at the card to see what type of SS card you were issued.
