Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Kansas
This may be strange question.
If I were to get a tattoo of a painting, and didn't include the artists name, is that a violation of copyright or anything like that?

Technically, yes, it would be copyright infringement if done without persmission from the copyright owner. The tattoo artist would be infringing the copyright by creating a derivative work. The person wearing the tattoo could be infringing the copyright by publicly displaying the work (that is, if people could see it). Adding the artist's name would not do anything to change the answer.
