Can a job fire a college student for not being able to show up for a shift due to classes?

. . Unless the employer is somehow contracted, there is no exception for thepower of an employer to fire an employee for missing work, based upon class times. There may be other factors that change that deternination. Therefore, if you are the student or the employer, you should consult directly with an employment lawyer in your area.
