Legal Question in Employment Law in Kansas

I was recently threatened at work by my manager. "You better watch your a** girl!" Then a few days later, the manager screamed at me from across the kitchen in front of all of my co-workers! He told me I was stupid, and all that's aloud to come out of my mouth is, "Yes, Keith. No, Keith. Whatever you want, Keith" Then, he proceded to make me stand there and actually say, "Whatever you want, Keith" in front of everyone! I was mortified! I have never been so embarressed in my life! I just need to know what kind of rights I have in this situation, and if there's anything I can do?

At the very least, you need to lodge a complaint with your manager's superiors within the company. You might also employ counsel to write to the manager and the company demanding that all abuse stop, or you will pursue civil remedies. That should stop the abusive language.

If he has not touched you and did not physically force you to say "Whatever you want Keith" there may be little worthwhile litigation to bring against Keith at this point.

Good luck
