Pregnant women fell off last step in apartment complex because light was not rep
A week before I fell I called the apartment complex and left a voice mail to change the light at the bottom of the stairs. When the light is out the stairs can't be seen at all. I thought I was on the last step and I wasn't. I tore all the ligaments in myleft outer ankle, they think I also have a hair line fracture that is not showing up on the x-rays. I was two monthes pregnant when I fell. I have been on crutches for 6 weeks now. Foot is still very painful and I have seen three doctors. We have never had anything like this happen to us before. What can we get out of them for this. Oh, the insurance person who came to see me knows this is for real. He was even told by the complex that "we went people out every three days to change any lights that may be out.." He came back three weeks later and saw that none of the lights had even been touched.

It sounds like you have a fairly decent liability case. The amount of your damages depends on a number of factors, including the extent of your medical expenses, economic loss, pain and suffering, loss of consortium, inconvenience, the jurisdiction, and other factors.
