Legal Question in Personal Injury in Kansas

I had a recent visit to the emergency room at a local hospital because I was having heart palpitations. It is a condition I have and have been seen for the same thing before. While in the ER I gave all my past history, which is SVT's and seizures. They were able to slow my heart palpitations with an IV medicine.

The last thing I remember is relaxing so that I could be monitored like they usually do when I am seen for this reason. I came too for a little while and they told me I had a seizure and were going to keep me. I called my husband to tell him and he came back to hospital to check on me. He arrived and saw that my face was bruised, red and I was very lethargic and disoriented. He asked what happened and they said I hit my head on the guardrail, I remember nothing after that for the rest of the day until I was in a room at the hospital. They kept poking me and I was so confused and scared, not remembering anything that day, so I called my husband to come and get me and I left against medical advice. At home I slept all night and upon waking the next morning I had a really bad black eye, headache and still a little disoriented and lethargic. I was really confused and scared about what happened to me at the ER so I went to hospital and got the doctors ER records and it mentioned nothing about my black eye. I haunts me to this day what exactly happened. Were they negligent and do I have a possible law suit?

There may be a possible case here for negligence or a willful/ deliberate tort. The records your have and those that you don't will be important, as well as testimony of those present that night. I suggest that you consult directly with a medical malpractice attorney as soon as you can. There are some pretty tough time restraints on these cases and evidence deteriorates.

Good luck
