Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Kansas
We did a $1350 repair on a home owner's roof. The home owner never paid us. We filed a lien, but unbeknownst to us, foreclosure proceedings had been started on the home 4 months before we even did the job. The house is now up for Sheriff's sale. Are we just out this money or do we have any recourse any where?

You need to protect your lien interest in the foreclosure action, or you may loud lose it. You still have an action against the people that hired you.
