Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Kansas
My boyfriend and I purchased a house together, and now we are breaking up. He refuses to move and he cannot afford the house alone (I can). I have offered to buy him out and he is refusing. I would really like to keep the house, not the boyfriend. How can I get him off the title and the loan to my house?

There are several ways that people can be extracated from shared ownership of real property. Some involve selling the property, while others are where one pays funds to the other. Unfortunately, you are not able to provide enough information here in order to advise the advantages of each. Therefore, I suggest that you consult directly with a civil practice attorney in your area. Once they have the relevant information, they should be able to counsel you on the specific facts of your particular situation.
