Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Kansas
I was in a confrontation with someone and out of the blu his friend sucker punches me then runs. Being stupid I retaliated and broke off the mirror to his bike. The cost is $53, but as I was reading information that he has to make the claim in 72 hours, which has passed. He is now threatening me with a property damage lawsuit saying I could potentially receive a felony. I was wondering if he has a case or should I maybe file a battery charge? Also I read that since I was in my dorm, which is a public place that I could potentially charge him with aggravated battery?

You could sue for assault and battery. The value of that claim is probably worth much more than the mirror. He may be aber to sue you for the mirror. But your counterclaim is worth much more. It seems very unlikely that you will get a felony criminal charge.
Good luck
