Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Kansas
I live in a duplex, my question/concern is that my garge door leaks water inside the basement whenever it rains. This past weekend after a heavy storm the basement flooded and distroyed personal items. my renter insurance states this is not cover under my policy. will i be resonable for the damage, or is either, the landlord and or the insurance company resonable?

It sounds like your insurer just denied a claim that they probably owe for. On the other hand, if the landlord knew of teh defective garage door, and failed to make repairs, you may have a claim for damage to your personal property, if that is not excluded through your written lease.
