Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Kansas
About two months ago I sold my motorcycle to someone off of craigslist for $1000. I was waiting on my title, so we made a contract on a bill of sale and agreed to it. The contract was for the buyer to take possession of the motorcycle with $500 down while waiting on the title. As soon as I received the title I notified the buyer, but he never completed the sell. So I still have a title in my name for a motorcycle I don't have possession of. Am I in the right to collect the $500 owed for the title or my motorcycle? Is there anything I can do to either get my motorcycle back or collect the $500...

You should probably hire an attorney to write to teh buyer to state your position an dtheir options. This may get your bike back, or your money. If you get teh bike back, you will have to refund most of the money, if the bike is still in like condition.
Good luck
