Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Kansas

My mother wants to get my deceased father's name off 2 deeds that do not state "joint tenancy". Both their names are on the deeds. One deed is a warranty deed and the other is a county clerk's deed. Both were recorded in the 1940s in Wyandotte county, state of Kansas.
