Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Kansas
My mother and father are my mortgage holders on my mortgage. My mother has passed away. My mortgage obligation will be fulfilled next month. For the satisfaction of mortgage to be filed with the register of deeds, will just my father need to sign the satisfaction? Or do we need to do something with the mortgage to remove my mother's name?

Whether your mother's interest passed to your father, will be determined by how it was titled, and how the documents were worded. You should have a civil practice attorney, in your area, examine the documents, and advise you as to your options.
