Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Kansas
I signed my original lease with my apartment complex back in january of 2010. In june 2010, I asked to be transferred to a different apartment, in which they made me sign another year lease. Is it legal for them to do this? And what kind of reprocussions would I face if I broke this lease?

Under the facts you described, you asked to change the deal and they suggested making new deal. If you signed the new lease, you agreed to the new deal. The repercussions for breaching the lease may best be described in the written lease itself.
