Tree limbs hanging over the property line.

Who is responable for trimming limbs over the property line? The are not touching the house put has dropped walnuts on the neighbors yard and one nut was susposed to have broken a windshield? Is it the owner of the tree to trim the limbs or the neighbor whos property its hanging over responable for trimming his side.

Generally it is the responsible of the owner of the property where the branch is hanging. However, some local ordinances change that.
