Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Kansas

Was Sexually Harassed at work by Boss, Reported him, Filed with the EEOC in Kans

I am a corrections officer, contracted for the Federal Government. I was sexually assaulted by my supervisor at work three times. He came to my home threating me and my family's life, and vandalized my home. I reported him to my employer and the police. My work found him guilty of all accounts-but refused to take ANY disipline action toward him. I filed a claim with the EEOC in Kansas, and I took stress leave, due to the continuing harassment at home and work. I was hospitalized twice for mental health and diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress. Two doctors has classified me as totally disabled, until treatment is complete.

The company has written the incidents off as workmen's comp. I have filed ALL paperwork for workmans comp, & my employer, and when i contact them they give me run arounds, they have not paid for any medical bills, medication or back pay. Where do I go from here?!?

You need an attorney to review the facts of your case and give you an opinion on your alternatives. You probably have a sexual harassment claim under Title VII. The EEOC should complete its investigation. If it decides not to pursue your case it will issue you a right to sue letter. You have 90 days after you receive that letter to file suit. If you don't sue within the 90 days, you will be barred from recovery. If there is a worker compensation claim, you are entitled to a hearing before a judge who can order medical treatment and Temporary Total Disability benefits if a doctor says you cannot work because of your injuries. Kansas requires physical injury to support a workers compensation claim. It is not clear whether you have the physical injury.

Again, you need to thoroughly review the facts of your case with an attorney. Let me know if you wish to discuss your case.
