is there any way to avoid serving time if a warrant for my arrest was issued for a traffic violation

If you secure legal counsel, they can appear before the court and request that the warrant be retracted, so that the case may otherwise be resolved. If you waint too long, you will be arested and spend at least some time in jail, until a bond can be set and paid. Contact me if you need a referral in yoru area.
