Legal Question in Traffic Law in Kansas

Breaking Bail

I was arrested for driving with a suspended license in Kansas. My dad bailed me out with his own $500. The next day I was pulled over at a State Trooper stop. I recieved another ticket and was sent to jail. Part of my bail agreement was not to get in law troubles and not to drive. Whats going to happen to me for breaking my bail?

Re: Breaking Bail

Depending upon where you were stopped, the judge in your second case, may or may not grant you bail, once they learn of the first active offense. The judge in your first case could order you to be held. That probably will not be honored in Texas. But, you could have your drivng priveleges in Kansas revoked. There are too many variables in your situation to give you a clearer answer. I strongly suggest you hire an attorney in the area where you were stopped.

Please do not delay in getting this taken care of. Getting caught dring while revoked, could make for some significant jail time. It could affect the your freedom, not to mention ythe path of the rest of your life.

Good Luck
