Eighteen year old seat belt ticket

When I was 19 I lived in Iowa I came home to kansas to visit and got a seat belt ticket in Norton county I have a Kansas dl now and have renewed it several times I got a letter from ks 2 days ago saying my DL is cancelled because of this ticket, is there no statute of limitations on tickets and why is it just now showing up I would gladly pay the seat belt ticket if that is what needs to happen but now that my dl has been suspended it will most likely be affecting my insurance please help

Re: Eighteen year old seat belt ticket

Pay the ticket, if possible. Otherwise, contact the Court that your ticket was to be heard in. Your ticket is being suspended b/c you have a bench warrant due to your failure to deal with the ticket at that time. This happens often. If you take care of the ticket, you should be able to clear up your license.

Good Luck
