Legal Question in Traffic Law in Kansas
In Kansas on a highway the sipped limit drops from 65 to 35 at the edge of a city and then a short distance after 35mph it drops to 20 mph without notice or involving a school zone. Is this legal?

Speed limits on a non -KDOT maintained roadway within a city, are a matter of local ordinance. If your 20 moh section fits this criteria, the legality is based upon the ordinances of that city. If you got a ticket, I may be able to help you avoid damage to your license or increases in your insurance premiums. You may email me, with a reference to this lawguru posting.
