Legal Question in Traffic Law in Kansas
What can I do?
My license has been revoked in the state of Kansas, and will be for the next three years. I have heard that Kansas and Utah are the only two states that do not issue hardship licenses. My problem is that I am a single father and I am now in a worstening situation.I have no family here to help me through this. Getting my son to school is very hard, and weather conditions make getting him to school, and me to work near impossible at times, not to mention grocery shopping, and getting him to a babysitter. Is there anything that I can do to get a restricted license just to go to these places(Work, sons school, babysitter, grocery store)? ACan I get a moped license at the very least? So far I have not seen a way out of this. Please help!

Re: What can I do?
The easiest solution for you, if possible, is to relocate to an area that has mass transit of some kind. If you can ride a bus to work and your son a bus to school, then the grocery store may also be accessible.
You may not be able to even get a license to drive a moped. However, you do not need a license to ride a bike. If you cannot relocate, and there is not mass transit where you live, you may have to pedal your way around. The money you will be saving in gasoline, insurane, etc. may more than pay for a sturdy, yet light bike for you. Is your son old enough to ride a bike to school and or the babysitter?
You did not indicate why or how your license was suspended. Is it safer for you, yor son, and other motorists, that you not be operating a motor vehicle for the next few years?
Good Luck
