Legal Question in Traffic Law in Kansas
Ticketed for driving on suspended license while walking
My son has a 30 day suspensiong for minor in possession of alcohol. He had drivin about 50yds from 1 apt to the next in a parking lot and passed a tribal officer. About 20 min later the officer stopped him and his friend walking back to his apt for suspicious activity asking them if they were breaking windows or something and then called in to see if a 4 wheeler sitting out front was stolen which it was someones that just moved in the apt.'s. All of his accusations were false. He then realized that my son was the one that passed him in the vehicle 20-30 min. earlier & living in a small area knew he had his license suspended and asked him if he was driving earlier and my son advised that he did and the officer gave him a ticket for driving while license suspended. Is this right?
