Legal Question in Traffic Law in Kansas

a traffic fine after the fact kansas

Returning from vacation, Aug 07, I felt a bit ill turned the wheel over to my son whose license was suspended he was stopped for 1 mi over spd lmt by a State Trooper

son told Trooper about suspended license. Tooper returned id could not find suspension. Issued ticket for speeding. Now 2 months later, after ticket has been paid a letter came from Colorado saying they, re-suspended his drivers license saying Kansas notified them he was driving w/o a license. Ironically this happened the morning we were leaving to the DMV . Kansas wants him to come back to their court room and appear we live in South/Central Texas . Can this be done? Now Colorado will not release the suspension without the notice that he has complied with Kansas. Again, can Kansas do this?

Amended or even new charges after the fact are not unheard of. If you can tell me what jusrisdiction in Kansas issued the citation, I may be able to find someone to represent your son.

Good Luck
