Re: warrent fines????

If the officer told him from what City or County the warrant was issued, he can call them to see what they say the warrant is about. It may just be about a parking ticket, that he never realized he got.

If the officer did not tell him, then he can get a copy of his record from Topeka. If he is too busy to do that, tell him to go where he gets his license renewed. They may be able to tell him about any previous suspensions on his license.

If he recalls the ticket that he got, then he already knows where the warrant was issued. He can deal with that jurisdiction directly. If he was ticketed, the state had already met the statute of limitations requirements. However, many judges do not sentence people for very old tickets where there have been none since.

If you are still concerned for him and his finances, then hire an attorney for him. They can find out exactly what he needs to do.

Good Luck
