Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Kansas

I gave the memorial house a check for copies of my father's death certificate for all my sisters. The attorney that one of my sister (the exec.) has taken my check and stopped the process of my receiving these certificates. This is in the state of Ks. It is legal and is there anything I can do

What you described sounds like unethical behavior by the attorney. You should contact the attorney and tell them to return your documents. If they won't, or can't explain why they did that, you may need to take this up with the bar association.
