Re: intestate property

The simplest answer is to make a claim against the decedent's probate estate, if onw was opened. If you are a surviving spouse or a minor aged child, there are simpler ways, especially if it is a very samll estate. The probate clerks in the county court where the decedent lived can help with this. If you are a more distant relative, then you might need the advice of an attorney as to the particualrs of yoru case.

If you are not a relative, you probably have no claim to any intestate property. You might be able to buy it from the estate or the heirs at law.

Good Luck
