Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Kansas

This is a landlord/tenant issue.

My friend has had her brother living with her for 10 yrs. She has had her home for about 18. He is in the process is getting approved for disability which hopefully he'll get by this fall. She has told him that he is moving out when he gets it. In the past, friends and the local police have recommended eviction due to various neighborhood disturbances. If she gets an attorney to get him evicted, would an eviction appear as a criminal record on him? Like a misdemeanor or something? She lives in the city of Prairie Village, KS in Johnson County.

An eviction case is a civil case, and therefore would not generate a criminal record. If your friend needs a referral, have her send me an email.

Good luck
