Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Kansas

I just recently found out that my landlord is "secretly" making me pay the utilities for both my house and the apartment behind it! The landlord told the resident of the apartment, that all bills were paid, but my gas line and air ducts run to the apartment! Is it illegal for thE landlord to not disclose that info to me? What can I do?

IT doe snto sound like your landlord has violated a criminal statute, so there may be nothing :illegal" about his activity. But, it sounds like he owes you money. You shoudl figure up the extra portion of utilites you ahve paid, and demand it "in writing" from teh other tenant and the landlord. If they don't get it rectified, then you will have to gather yrou proof and sue the landlord in small claims case. You might even shut off the utlities to the other unit until you are repaid.

Good luck
