Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Kansas

I am the same sex partner of a deceased woman who is still receiving stock dividend checks. She died intestate and the dividend checks are still being sent to my address, in her name. What, legally, should be done with the uncashed checks I receive at my home on a quarterly basis?

If possible, inform the next of kin of the deceased woman, so they may consider opening a probate estate. If you cannto locate the family, then inform the entity sending the checks. They will search their records for beneficiary (maybe you) and stop sending the checks in her name.
