can i change lawyers
i hired a lawyer for a workers compensation case where he gets 25% the case is about to go to court & i am not happy with the way things are going. if i get a different lawyer & fire him is he due any money thanks

The attorney can charge a reasonable fee for work already done. If there has been an offer made, the attorney is entitled to a lien equal to 25% of the offer, plus any out-of-pocket expenses that the attorney has paid. You are always entitled to dismiss the lawyer, but it may be difficult to find substitute counsel under such circumstances.
