What can I do if money in joint bank account is taken?

Unfortunately, if the money was taken by the other person who is named on the joint account then there may be very little you can do other than take their name off the account. You may file an action against said person claiming "unjust enrichment" to obtain a judgment ordering restitution of such taken funds.
It would be a good idea for you to obtain an attorney depending on the amount of money taken.
