The more important question for you is whether bankruptcy is going to help. If you have no income and the loan on your car is secured by a lien against the car, then you will end up losing the vehicle in or out of a bankruptcy.

So, the real value of using an attorney is in helping you figure out if to file and when it would most help you. If you file now and get minmal relief, then you are barred from filing a Chapter 7 for eight more years.
