Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Kentucky
Chapter 13
My husband had a stroke in Feb and I hadn't been making our house payments under the impression that we had mtg ins and would be ok. Well, because he had preexisiting conditions, that didn't happen. We had forclosure proceedings started, then I never heard anything more, just found sherrif sale next to my garbage can outside. Can filing Ch 13 now save us?

Re: Chapter 13
Whether Chapter 13 bankruptcy can save your house now depends on a variety of things, including what income you have coming in to the house and what your expenses are. At a minimum, you should IMMEDIATELY schedule an appointment with an experienced bankruptcy attorney who can review your situation and advise you based on all the facts.
To get a list of bankruptcy attorneys, you can go to the website of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorney, www.nacba.org, and find someone in your area.
