Re: default of bankruptcy

It is not at all unusual for a person in bankruptcy to keep all or most of his possessions. You would need a lot more information before you could legitimately conclude that the debtor somehow committed fraud on the bankruptcy court.

Both the panel trustee assigned to the case and the U.S. Trustee's office are supposed to look for things like not listing assets on the bankruptcy schedules and otherwise lying to the court. In appropriate cases, the FBI may be called in to investigate allegations of criminal wrongdoing.

If you believe a debtor has deliberately lied to the court or otherwise committed bankruptcy fraud, you can alert the trustee, the U.S. Trustee's office, or the FBI, and ask them to investigate. They will almost certainly want more information than was contained in your message.
