Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Kentucky

I live in Kentucky. I filed bankruptcy & the process is done. The bank is now foreclosing on the property. They sent a copy of the lawsuit to recover the property and set a sale date. I had 20 days to respond. My lawyer told me I could respond but it was probably not necessary. So we did not respond to it. I read on a website that the court will rule & grant them a sale date immediacy since we did not respond. Do they have to give us any time to get out of the house or can they just come in change the locks & take our stuff if were still here?

There are a couple of steps in between. After the sale occurs, there is a motion to confirm the sale with the court. Once that is done, it would be wise to go ahead and move out right away. The next step would be for the new owner to file a writ of possession and when that is granted by the courts, the sheriff will come and set you out of the residence.
