How long does a bankruptcy stay on your credit`
i filed bankruptcy in july 1991, i was told it stayed on your credit for seven
years and i am still having problems with credit cards. is there a way to clear
this up? if so what do i need to do? i only filed on car loan that i was a co
signer during a marriage. In the divorce he was to pay off the car and he did
not. the car was repoed and they contacted me for the balance on the loan. please answer any questions that you can .

The history of your bankruptcy can remain on your credit report for up to ten years. Are you now being asked to pay for the lon-ago repossessed car?
