ex employee opens same business
I hired a woman and she worked for 1 month to see how the business was run. She opened the same business and copied everything I did. Can I sue her?

If your former employee was not under any agreement with you not to compete or divulge and your business model and tradename is not patented or copyrighted then you have little recourse. You have asked a very general question and a face to face meeting with an attorney to "flesh" out the particular facts and circumstances may get you a more definite answer.
